Brief History
The Porter matrix has been
constructed by Strategic
Feasibilities and StratLab
to provide a matrix approach
to assist in the
consolidation and
illustration of Michael
Porter’s ideas and
frameworks. Whilst Porter
did not publish in this
format, this matrix places
Porter’s strategic approach
comparably with the
historically famous
matrixes. He can be
described as one of the
world’s most influential
thinkers on business
strategy. Michael Porter's
first two books Competitive
Advantage and Competitive
Strategy have had a major
influence on business
thinking.
